The current influx of, ah, individuals- while not necessarily unusual, is still considered a deviation from status quo, yes?
[ Muttering about time and the coinciding of the start of the month with this sudden influx-- there is a pause as he considers whether he really wants to make this a public announcement or if he wants to wander The City by himself.
Why not make use of the hundreds of eyes at his disposal? ]
I assume that everyone has their hands full, so I will make this brief. If anyone happens to spy a chubby grey tabby with yellow eyes, or an all white cat with green eyes, would you please contact me?
Much appreciated.
[ ooc: anything goes! Yusuf is cool to just talk about cats tbh ]

I suppose we will have to keep you away from the bird. Not that you have ever shown a particular interest in ingesting parakeet- but we cannot have you eating Arthur's friends.
[ When she cracks one eye open at that, Yusuf stands his ground against cute kitty assault. ]
I mean it, chew on Eames if you must.

Pancake. ]
I am glad you like that alternative. [ Smiling down at the little rumbling feline in his arms, Yusuf opens the doors to Building 11 with his hip and heads toward the elevator. Since she first showed up on Yusuf's doorstep, she has only ever surmounted piles of books and the occasional shelf to play with vials that she knows she shouldn't. He can only hope she reacts well to the elevator,
as there is no way in hell Yusuf is going to trek up 9 flights of stairs.]Though I suggest you play nice with Pancake when we get there. [ More pets as the elevator makes its way down to the lobby. ] After all, he has seniority.

Heading down to the flat, Yusuf lets himself in with attention to any snuffling that might signal Pancake's presence at the door. He's pretty good at letting anyone inside know if someone is at the door- his whole body wagging with excitement. ]
Is anyone home? I have good news!

[ Eames calls from the kitchen, using his brand new cane to hobble himself out to see Yusuf, brow raising. Pancake is tangled up between his bare feet, though both his attention and the dog's are quickly swept up with the feline in Yusuf's arms. ]
Rhada would manage to inject herself down here just to be fed.
[ Surprise = 0. ]

[ Shutting the door behind him, Yusuf readjusts his hold on Rhada- not quite knowing how she will react to the scritch-scratch clattering of Pancake's nails on the floor or his presence at all, for that matter. The look Yusuf gives Eames is one of insurmountable pride, like Rhada has accomplished some great feat in finding him down here.
He hasn't had a chance to think on whether her presence is a good or a bad thing- or, if it will be continued past this weekend. ]
Does she look thinner to you?

[ Still, the important thing here is that Yusuf has found Rhada, and a happy Yusuf makes a pleased Eames. It's nothing to thumb his nose about. ]
Are you really asking me if your obese cat looks less obese?

Trade offs. ]
Short haired cats always look larger than they are. [ Which is not putting a number on her pound for pound. Adjusting his hold on her when Pancake takes an interested step forward (Rhada's eyes going saucer -wide) Yusuf adds, ] She feels lighter.
[ Numbers? What are numbers? ]

I thought that was long-haired? [ he counters, nudging Pancake back to sit on his feet with his cane. Should have went ahead and bought the baby grate for the dog the first time he'd thought he'd need it. ]
Maybe she only feels that way because it's been some time since you last held her.

[ Not like it's much of a battle, anyway. They don't even have a papasan. ]
