The current influx of, ah, individuals- while not necessarily unusual, is still considered a deviation from status quo, yes?
[ Muttering about time and the coinciding of the start of the month with this sudden influx-- there is a pause as he considers whether he really wants to make this a public announcement or if he wants to wander The City by himself.
Why not make use of the hundreds of eyes at his disposal? ]
I assume that everyone has their hands full, so I will make this brief. If anyone happens to spy a chubby grey tabby with yellow eyes, or an all white cat with green eyes, would you please contact me?
Much appreciated.
[ ooc: anything goes! Yusuf is cool to just talk about cats tbh ]

[ Eames calls from the kitchen, using his brand new cane to hobble himself out to see Yusuf, brow raising. Pancake is tangled up between his bare feet, though both his attention and the dog's are quickly swept up with the feline in Yusuf's arms. ]
Rhada would manage to inject herself down here just to be fed.
[ Surprise = 0. ]

[ Shutting the door behind him, Yusuf readjusts his hold on Rhada- not quite knowing how she will react to the scritch-scratch clattering of Pancake's nails on the floor or his presence at all, for that matter. The look Yusuf gives Eames is one of insurmountable pride, like Rhada has accomplished some great feat in finding him down here.
He hasn't had a chance to think on whether her presence is a good or a bad thing- or, if it will be continued past this weekend. ]
Does she look thinner to you?

[ Still, the important thing here is that Yusuf has found Rhada, and a happy Yusuf makes a pleased Eames. It's nothing to thumb his nose about. ]
Are you really asking me if your obese cat looks less obese?

Trade offs. ]
Short haired cats always look larger than they are. [ Which is not putting a number on her pound for pound. Adjusting his hold on her when Pancake takes an interested step forward (Rhada's eyes going saucer -wide) Yusuf adds, ] She feels lighter.
[ Numbers? What are numbers? ]

I thought that was long-haired? [ he counters, nudging Pancake back to sit on his feet with his cane. Should have went ahead and bought the baby grate for the dog the first time he'd thought he'd need it. ]
Maybe she only feels that way because it's been some time since you last held her.

Or, it could be that she needs the tuna in the cupboard.

[ It's not like Eames is going to keep Yusuf from feeding his cat, even if the cans of tuna are his own. ] Let me put the mutt away, then. [ He doesn't want to risk it, anyhow, craning down with a bit of a grunt for the pang in his leg as he collects Pancake under one arm, hobbling to his bedroom to dump him on the bed, closing the door behind him before rejoining Yusuf in the kitchen. ]
Where did you find her?

By the time Eames hobbles his way into the kitchen, Yusuf has already opened the can and put it on a plate on the counter. It doesn't occur to him until Eames leans his weight on the counter than perhaps letting Rhada eat on the counter is taking his squatters rights a little too far. ] It was strangest thing. I made that post to the network, not thinking anyone would really respond- and there she was, not a few minutes later.
Should I..? [ Yusuf mimes putting the plate on the floor. ]

Perhaps she's peculiarly good timing.

She does have an unparalleled sense of who around her is most likely to feed her. Though I am... concerned that her presence may be temporary.

[ Considering that would be a lie to Eames' best judgement, considering these weekends - but he's not seen an animal come along, neither, before this. He uses his cane to drag over one of the chairs by the leg, easing himself down, eye level now with Rhada and, consequently, Yusuf's elbow with the way Eames naturally slouches to the point of hunching. ]
Never know, though.
